ADHD Assessment

The ADHD assessment will include a clinical interview, a review of relevant medical and educational records if necessary, an intellectual assessment (IQ), various tests measuring executive functioning, measures targeting mood components that impact attention and concentration, and measures identifying ADHD symptoms to be completed by parent(s) and teacher(s). The completed psychological evaluation will include the results, diagnosis (if applicable), recommendations and appropriate accommodations (if applicable).

Evaluations for Giftedness

Testing for giftedness is typically recommended when a student/child is consistently demonstrating abilities and interests that appear to be unlike those of their peers. These children often display a variety of traits such as advanced cognitive abilities, creativity, affective and behavioral characteristics.

The IQ test is needed to establish objective evidence of children’s intelligence and the extent of their advancement in relation to others their age. We administer different IQ scales depending on your child’s age and whether IQ tests have been administered recently. IQ tests measure abstract verbal reasoning, visual-spatial reasoning, working memory and processing speed. They are the key to gaining your children the provisions they need

Psychoeducational Evaluation

This evaluation will include a clinical interview, behavioral observations (if applicable), a comprehensive intellectual assessment (IQ), measures of academic achievement, brief screeners targeting emotional factors, and various assessments measuring executive functioning (memory, learning, attention, etc.). The final report will include the results, diagnosis (if applicable), recommendations and appropriate accommodations (if applicable).

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment

A comprehensive psychological assessment evaluates cognitive and personality factors. It includes a clinical interview, a review of medical and educational records (if necessary), a full  psychoeducational evaluation, a complete evaluation of personality characteristics, mood states, behavioral functioning, and social-emotional functioning. The final report will include details of all areas tested and provide a diagnosis. Appropriate accommodations are documented. Treatment recommendations and referral information are also provided (if applicable).

School Admission Testing

Depending on the school's admission criteria, an intellectual assessment will be administered and can include, but not limited to, any of the following: WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, or Stanford-Binet for example. The final report will include a brief developmental history, an explanation of test results, areas of particular strength, and current academic ability.

This evaluation includes an objective personality test, an interest and skill survey, and a career assessment inventory (if applicable) to identify one's strengths related to careers and to best match professions with personality traits. This evaluation also includes a feedback session where results will be discussed and a report with suggestions regarding possible fields of interest, specific careers that  may be most rewarding, and personality traits are included.
